Jai Hind Defence College of Law started functioning in 2005.

The educational institute is affiliated to Barkatullah University, Bhopal.

Jai Hind Defence College of Law is approved by Bar Council of India (BCI), Government of India, New Delhi .

Jai Hind Defence College of Law is not a separate college but a department of Jai Hind College.

The 'Defence' word has been removed from the college name since it has been a reserve word.

To impart quality law education to the young generation, the college conducts undergraduate law course - Bachelor of Laws (LLB).

The course is a three-year program, which is conducted as per the guidelines of BCI.
