Institute of Pharmacy - Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University (IPPRSU), Raipur was established in 2001.

The college is affiliated to the Pandit Ravishanker Shukla University and approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and by the NAAC.

The University Institute of Pharmacy was established with the object of imparting quality education in pharmacy. The Institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate courses and doctoral program in pharmaceutical science under the Faculty of Technology. During the last decade it has established itself as one of the leading centers of education and research in the area of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The institute is having state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities for the research. The institute has been successful in achieving and maintaining high level of research activity that has been duly recognized at national and international levels. It has attracted funding from various organizations such as AICTE, UGC, CG-COST and DST.

Historical Outline The University Institute of Pharmacy was established in the year 2001, with the prior approval of AICTE with an intake of 60 students in B. Pharm. Since 2004, the Institute is an approved Research Center and has started Ph.D. programme under the Faculty of Technology (Pharmacy). From the session 2006-07, the Institute has introduced Masters in Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics-12 Seats) by fulfilling the AICTE norms regarding qualified staff, sophisticated Instrument laboratory and other necessary Infrastructure.

During the last decade the college has established itself as one of the leading centers of education and research in the area of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The institute is having state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities for the research.

There mission is to generate leaders in the field of pharmaceutical industry, education, research and the profession and to lead in education and research that benefits patients and the prevailing healthcare practices at large by educating students and practitioners to provide optimal pharmaceutical care, conducting vital research that advances scientific knowledge, pharmacy practice, and economic development and providing direct and supportive services to patients, the community, and the profession.
