Institute of Management Studies, Noida was established in 1998 and managed by IMS Society, a non-profit making body constituted in 1996 by a group of leading academicians and corporate visionaries.

It is an autonomous India's corporate sponsored business school which is located in Noida, India.

The institute is affiliated with Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut & Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

It is also recognized and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, Association of Indian Universities (AIU) & Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India.

It is also accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade - (CGPA Score 3.03 on a 4 Point Scale in 1st Cycle) on 25th June 2015 and certified with ISO 9001:2008 Certification.

The students were selected through CAT (Common Admission Test) Entrance Examination conducted every year. Admission to these programmes is through CAT and GMAT.

The institute has its also own selection process unlike other colleges under affiliating University. The institute has an online application process where prospective applicants are expected to fill in their interests and academic achievements.

Admissions here done are based on the merit obtained by the aspirants with the minimum aggregate of 50% in their previous courses in the relevant field.

Such candidates should examine whether their percentage marks (Best of Four/PCB/PCM, whichever is applicable) falls within the cut- off percentage declared by the Institute for admission in different courses.
