Institute of Computer & Information Sciences (ICIS), Bankura is a private non-aided College.

Institute of Computer and Information Sciences (ICIS College) is an IT and Management based Degree College, offering at present BCA (Hons.) and BBA (Hons.), all are regular three year degree honours courses, affiliated to Bankura University. The college is sponsored by Bankura Institute of Computer and Information Sciences (BICIS), a registered society under the West Bengal Society Act, established in 2001, with the objective of spreading need – based, job - oriented and professional education for the educated youth of this part of the developing district Bankura. Since its inception the college has been running quite smoothly and satisfactorily to the entire satisfaction of all concerned.

The college is located on the NH-60 near Kamladanga village, Purandarpur, Bankura, in an open natural ambient setting, quite conducive to academic pursuits. It is housed in a two storied building with a wide campus. The college provides for a well furnished Software and Electronics Laboratory. We have also a well stocked Library containing considerable number of texts books, references books and a good number of periodicals and journals.

The college can boast of a well qualified, efficient and experienced faculty. The university examination results for the last five years have been quite satisfactory, recording more than 80% success rate. The pass outs from this college are either absorbed or prosecuting higher studies. Besides hostel facilities - separate for boys and girls, we have own play ground, provisions for varieties of outdoor games. Educational tours, cultural programmes and students’ industry contacts are regular features of the college.

The society also runs a PTT College named “Bankura Primary Teachers’ Training Institute (Bankura PTTI)”, approved by West Bengal Board of Primary Education and Recognised by NCTE.

The society also runs a B.Ed. College named “Vevekananda College", affiliated to The University of Burdwan and Recognised by NCTE.
