Institute of Business Management & Rural Development (IBMRD), Ahmednagar was established in 1986 under the management of Padmashri Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation, Ahmednagar.

The institute is affiliated to Pune University and approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.

The objective and goal is primarily to educate and graduate rural youths to a mark of excellence to meet challenges that they have to face in the 21st century and to create an overall learning environment, where ordinary people can do extra ordinary things.
