Indian Institute of Health Education and Research, Patna was established in 1983.

Its Affiliated to Magadh University.

The Institute has been set up by Manava Manavi Samaj Kalyan Kendra, Patliputra (Patna), a philanthropic voluntary organisation, registered under the Societies Registration Act-1860, in pursuit of its objective of Human Resource Development, as an endeavour towards ensuring a sound infrastructure in the field of Health Care.

The Institute aims to provide qualified professional support to the Medical and Rehab. Candidates drawn particularly from rural areas and from the weaker sections are taught and trained here in the atmosphere of socio-rural conditions tempered for dedication to the non-urban areas.

Indian Institute of Health Education & Research conducting courses as per syllabie prescribed by the Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, Bihar, Rehabilitation Council of India, M P Bhoj (Open) University, Bhopal and the respective recognised Bodies for each course.

The teaching and training in the Institute are provided by lecturers, professors and academicians of eminence and repute in each field.
