Shailesh J Mehta School of Management, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay was established in 1995.

Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM) was established in 1995 as an academic unit within IITB providing management education.

The objective was to transform professionals with technological background to "Renaissance Leaders" of tomorrow. It provides leadership in the area of management education with an emphasis on developing all round managerial skills.
