Institute of Finance and International Management, Bengaluru was established in 1995 by the Center for Developmental Education (CDE) under the Karnataka Society Registration Act.
The institute grew to be a fully fledged Business School and was renamed as the IFIM Business School in 2004.
The institute is recognized and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi & International member of The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AASCB), Florida (USA).
IFIM is also SAQS (South Asian Quality Assurance System) accredited, an accreditation conferred by The Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA).
The institute aims to prepare globally competitive management professionals with strong moral, personal and social values and whose training and management skills are grounded on appropriate and advanced concepts and principles.
The institute is promoted by Dalal Street Investment Journal Group and has been awarded a certificate of ISO 9001:2008 Certification.
It is co-educational private institute, providing a regular course which is located in an urban part of Bengaluru played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.
The institute has been ranked 15 in India amongst Best private school, ranked 26 in India amongst best business school, the gold award winner at the 7th India Management at IIM Ahmedabad also tops 3 business school in Bengaluru by the leading media house.
The Institute offers two years programs in Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM-General). It also offers Ph.D. programs.
IFIM's programs have also been approved by the Distance Education Bureau, a department of the University Grants Commission (UGC) to offer its programs in distance mode.
The students were selected through CAT, MAT and COMED-K Entrance Examination conducted every year. Admission also can be done through XAT and GMAT.
Average of 50% in all examinations leading to graduation (45% for SC/ST candidates) and 75 percentile and above in any of the Entrance Tests-(75 percent and above).
