Institute for Excellence in Higher Education (IEHE), Bhopal is an autonomous Institute was established in 1995 and is managed by The Institute for Excellence in Higher Education Society Bhopal, registered under the Madhya Pradesh Society Registration Act 1973.

It is one of the premier institutions established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The institute is affiliated with Barkatullah University, Bhopal and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) in July 2002 under Act, 1956.

It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade (CGPA Score 3.10 on a 4 Point Scale in 3rd Cycle) on 16th September 2016.

The aim of the institute was to develop integrated development of students through the inculcation of moral and spiritual values also enhanced its credibility as a catalyst of progressive and incremental changes setting new benchmarks for other institutions of the state to redefine the limits of growth and development in Higher Education.

It is a co-educational government Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the urban part of Bhopal played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The institute provides a high standard of multidisciplinary education at the undergraduate, Postgraduate levels like Educational, General, Technical, and Profesional.

The institute conferred the status of grant-in-aid college that the fees and all the facilities for the students are fixed by the government.

This institute has conferred as the status as "College with Potential for Excellence (CPE)" in 2014 -2019 & recognition as a Nodal Centre for CEQUIC (Cluster for Enhancing Quality through Innovation & Collaboration) Govt. of India as the best college by their Barkatullah University, Bhopal.

The Institute collaborated with CEQUIC (Cluster for Enhancing Quality through Innovation & Collaboration) - a scheme initiated in 2014 by the Government of Madhya Pradesh to realize international standards in Research & Teaching through qualitative changes, are some of the monumental achievements of the Institute.

The institute also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of education, sports and curricular activities under Barkatullah University, Bhopal.

The institute offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts, Science, Commerce, and Management streams with various specializations and offers two years of postgraduate courses in Arts, Science, Commerce, and Management with various specializations Barkatullah University, Bhopal. It also offers Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma and Certificates courses.

University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by Barkatullah University, Bhopal and various other examinations are held in the college premises.

The admission process of the institute is absolutely fair and transparent based on the guidelines provided by the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh.
