H.L. Institute of Commerce (HLIC), Ahmedabad was established in 1999.

It is now a part of Ahmedabad University, one of the most progressive private state universities in Gujarat. It is affiliated with Gujarat University and has been accredited by NAAC with B++ (82.3%) grade.

The main aim of the institute is to be a centre of excellence.
