H. A. College of Commerce, Ahmedabad (informally known as Sheth Haridas Achratlal College of Commerce), is a single faculty commerce college established in 1956.

The institute is one of the 38 institutions managed by Gujarat Law Society, a leading educational trust in the state.

The college is affiliated with Gujarat University, Ahmedabad and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.70 on a 4 Point Scale in 3rd Cycle) on 15th September 2016.

The aim of the college is to impart a value-oriented education, create a highly vibrant learning culture and thereby foster a multi-faceted growth of our students also helps the students realize their own potential by appreciating their performance and providing them a platform to explore their innate talents.

It is a co-educational private Institute, providing regular courses in which is located in the urban part of Ahmedabad played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college conferred the status of grant-in-aid college that the fees and all the facilities for the students are fixed by the government.

The college was named after Sheth Shri Haridas Achratlal for his generous donation for the establishment of the college. H.A. College of Commerce is part of the range of educational institutions that belong to the Gujarat Law Society that was established in 1927.

Gujarat law Society or GLS as popularly known has to their credit 14 educational institutes (5 schools and 9 Colleges including H.A. College of Commerce).

At present, the college offers three years undergraduate and two years postgraduate courses in Commerce stream with specific popular specializatons. Apart from these courses, the college also offers short term certificate courses.

The college had received many awards and accolades at a city, state and national level for their educational advancements also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of sports and curricular activities under the Gujarat University, Ahmedabad.

H.A. College of Commerce was awarded ‘Best College’ title by the Government of Gujarat, in 1983. The college holds the distinction of being the first Commerce College of Gujarat also was ranked 19th all over India in the survey conducted by the leading magazine “India Today” in 2006.

The college has its own selection process unlike other colleges under Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. The college has an online application process where prospective applicants are expected to fill in their interests and academic achievements.

Admission has been done when seekers who have registered with the University are eligible for admissions in the college.

University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by the Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, and various other examinations are held in the college premises.
