Gobind Singh Medical College, Faridkot was established in 1978.

Its affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences.

its attached hospital were taken over by the Punjab Govt. from a private trust in 1978 with the dual aim and objective of providing quality.

Medical Education to the under graduates (MBBS) and Post graduates in different specialties besides providing good and affordable medical care to the public of the adjoining areas.

The Medical college admits 50 students per year in MBBS course, nine post graduate students in the subjects of MS (Surgery) MS(Ophthalmology) MD(Skin & VD) and MD (Psychiatry in addition to DNB courses in the subjects of Family Medicine,Paediatrics & Forensic Medicine with an intake of 07 students per.
