Govt.Rourkela Evening College, Rourkela was established in 1989.

Its located at Sector-4 in the heart of the Rourkela Steel Township and affiliated to Sambalpur University, is the second largest Govt.

College in the district of Sundargarh, Orissa, providing quality education in Arts and Commerce with honours teaching facility.

The college which began in 1966 in the name Rourkela Night College and subsequently renamed as Rourkela Evening College was taken over by the Govt. of Orissa in the year 1989 to function as Govt.

Evening College, Rourkela. Subsequently the college was renamed as Rourkela College, Rourkela.
