Govt. Degree College, Mandleshwar (Dist. Khargone) was established in 1982 with the help of the great effort of the former MLA Mr. Sitaram Sadho and managed by Jab Bhagidari Samiti. Finally, has been located on the main campus in 1990.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated with Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2 (f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

The aim of the college was lies in the fact that it has inoculated and zealously groomed a system of accountability, integrity, objectivity, fearlessness, impartiality, consistency, honesty, truthfulness, ethics and moral values.

It is a co-educational government Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the rural part of Khargone played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of education, sports and curricular activities under Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore

The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts, Science and Commerce stream and two years of postgraduate courses in Arts and Commerce stream with various specializations under Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore.

University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore and various other examinations are held in the college premises.

Admissions here also done through Govt. of M.P. online portal by the Department of Higher Education M.P. and hence gives a transparent and fair method of admission.
