Government Polytechnic, Ratanagiri was established in 1961 is one of the oldest polytechnic established in Konkan region to cater the basic needs of developing industrial belt of this region.

The institute is affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE).

Mission:

Giving the quality education so that they will be equipped with necessary knowledge, skills, attitude, ethical values & social awarness.
Developing & maintaining infrastructure such as buildings, equipments, library, trained teaching & supporting staff.
Generating revenue by testing, consulting & developing report with industries & other organizations.
