Government Medical College (GMC), Haldwani was established in 2004.

Its affiliated to Kumaon University, Nainital

It has been established by State Government under the auspices of the Uttarakhand Forest Hospital Trust.

The college is one of the best medical colleges in India and is the first post graduate college in Uttarakhand, recognized by Medical Council of India and Government of India.
