Government Girls Polytechnic (GGP), Bareilly was established in 1987. The college is affiliated to the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh. The college is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The college has been the vanguard of continuous development in technical education since its inception. Considering the expertise and facilities developed over the years, excellence and achievements in regard to standards of education and its overall curricular and technical developments. The institute's infrastructure is modern with well equipped facilities. A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to the students in various departments of the college.

Government Girls Polytechnic, Bareilly was established in 1987 and began offering Diploma courses. The college has been the vanguard of continuous development in technical education since its inception.
