Government Engineering College (GEC), Surat was established in 2004 and it is one of the eight new Government Engineering colleges.

Dr. S.& S.S. Ghandhy Government Engineering College, Surat is one of eight New Government Engineering Colleges established in July - 2004. It was foresight to get talented engineering in the field of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering.
