Government Degree College, Salur was established in 1982.

Its affiliated to Andhra University.

The college has been accredited with ‘C’ grade by NAAC.

At the time of its inception it was the only Government Degree College in entire Vizianagaram District.

There is an open air stage for conducting meetings and cultural programs.

Vision and Mission:

The vision of the college is to cater to the academic needs of the students of remote and rural areas in general and to the first generation learner from backward classes.

To provide quality and need based education to all sections of the society through regular as well as distance mode of education.
