Government College Karamsar Rara Sahib (Dist. Ludhiana) was established in 1969.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated with Panjab University, Chandigarh and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade (CGPA Score 2.09 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) on 15th November 2015.

The aim of the college was to provide good quality of education and giving an opportunity for their future growth.

It is a co-educational government Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the rural part of Ludhiana played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of education, sports and curricular activities under Panjab University, Chandigarh.

The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts, Science, and Commerce streams with various specializations under Panjab University, Chandigarh.
