The College is named after Late. Sh. Madhavrao Scindia.

The college is Affiliated to Jiwaji University Gwalior (Formerly to Vikram University Ujjain during academic sessions 1962-63 and 1963-64 ), the college has always won laurels in the matters of academic achievement, sports & games, NCC, NSS, youth festivals & other activities of the alumni in almost all levels.
