Gokul Institute of Technology and Sciences (GITAS), Vizianagaram was established in 2001 by Sri. Kanjerla Lakshmi Narayana Yadav.

The College is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada, A.P. and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

GITAS is one of the largest Engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh and the first of its kind in Vizayanagarm district.
It offers five UG and five PG programs with faculty strength of over 80.
The College is accredited by National Board of Accreditation and accorded permanent affiliation by JNTU.
