Global College of Nursing was started in the year 2008 with the G.O. of the Govt. of Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical Univesity Chennai, Approved by the Tamilnadu Nureses and Midwives Council Chennai and Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi.

The college is one of the forefront nursing institutes in India.

The college is approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC) and govt. of Tamil Nadu.

The college is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University.
