G.G.S. Government College, Jandiala (Dist. Jalandhar) was also popularly known as Guru Gobind Singh Government College, Jandiala established in 1967 and managed by the Government of India.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated with Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

The aim of the college was to strengthen the Indian Society by organizing an educational system which sought to combine the moral and spiritual values of the ancient Vedic India with the scientific outlook of materialistic West.

It is a co-educational government Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the rural part of Jalandhar played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of education, sports and curricular activities under Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.

The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts stream with various specializations under Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
