Faculty of Pharmacy Integral University (FPIU), Lucknow was established in 2004.

The college is affiliated to the Integral University and the college is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The Institute has always made special efforts to ensure high quality of education to the students seeking admission in the Institute. Shri Atal Bihari Bajpayee the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India laid the foundation stone of a residential complex in 1999.

A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to the students in various departments of the college.

The Faculty of Pharmacy was established in the year 2004, with Diploma and Bachelor courses in Pharmacy. Now the Faculty consists of the following discipline.

• Pharmaceutics
• Pharmacology
• Pharmaceutical Chemistry
• Pharmacognosy & Phytochemistry
• Pharmacy Practice

In these departments, the thrust areas of research are Drug discovery and development of formulation from natural and synthetic sources. The faculty is fully devoted to high class research with standardization of Unani and Ayurvedic (Single and polyherbal) drugs, isolation of herbal molecules, development and validation of analytical methods for medicinal plants and formulations.

Design and synthesis of broad-spectrum novem therapeutic agents and analysis of synthetic molecules are research areas in Department pf Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Department of Pharmacology is grooming with quality research, especially in evalution of natural phytoconstituent/synthetic compounds/formulation for acute (LD50) determination and subacute toxicity, for their specific pharmacological in-vivo studies like Cardiovascular System. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), anti-hepatotoxicity, anti-ulcer, anti-diabetic, immunomodulatory, neurotocivity, behaviour activity and cerebral ischemia in experimental animals. Some research scholars are also working inthe field of nanobased drug delivery systems.
