Faculty Of Law Pune University was established by the University in the year 1965, in order to cater to the growing demands of legal education in the country.

Since its establishment, the department over the years has awarded more than fifty doctorates on various facets of law.

Hailed as one of the best legal education centres of the country, many of its students occupy high positions in various avocations around the world.

It has been rated by the University Grants Commission (UGC) as one of the top five Law Departments in the country because of its academic excellence, research outputs and remarkable contribution to the development of legal education in India.
