Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics, Jamia Milia Islamia University (JMIU), Delhi was started Architecture program in 2001.

It is the only Central University having the full fledges Faculty of architecture & Ekistics.

Jamia has created a history by establishing its Faculty of Architecture & Ekistic is aimed to establish a seat of excellence for the education of architecture and associated disciplines and facilitates multidisciplinary research to deal with the complexities of Human settlements as a whole.

Jamia Millia Islamia being the pioneer in taking the lead on the issues of social concern and as centre of innovation has realized the need of the time.

It has taken initiative via multidisciplinary Masters Degree program in Ekistics with a holistic approach, so that growth and management of Human Settlements, rural and urban both, can be shaped up to the needs, aspiration and expectations of the people.

The Faculty of Architecture & Ekistics has a vision to train the students to create architecture with soul, not architecture just wearing cosmetic faces.
