Ettumanoorappan College, Ettumanoor (Dist. Kottayam) was established in 1995 and managed by Ettumanoor Education Society (R).
It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone on the part of progress.
The college is affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.
The aim of the college is to create a centre of excellence through the formation of young people empowered to create a bright future for themselves and others, irrespective of caste, creed, religion or language through the dissemination of knowledge, skills, and noble values.
It is a co-educational self-financed Institute, providing a regular course in which is located in the rural part of Kottayam played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.
The college had received many awards and accolades at a city, state and national level for their educational advancements also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of sports and curricular activities under the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.
The college offers three years undergraduate and two years of postgraduate course in Arts, Commerce, and Science streams with various specializations under the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. It also offers Add-On course.
Students should have to choose one honor (core) subject with two or more as subsidiary (elective) subjects for the specific undergraduate streams.
University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, and various other examinations are held in the college premises.

- The college has a significant presence in the field of research. A number of major & minor research projects are awarded to the faculty members by the UGC and other bodies
- The college has a large playground with well-equipment for different sports like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey, Badminton and so on
- A medical facility has been available in the college for the benefit of the students
- State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
- The institution has provided ICT facilities like computers, projectors, audio-visual gadgets, scanners and printers to the departments and also other aids and a huge number of availability of books for effective delivery of curriculum and for inculcating the knowledge of the subject
- A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
- To sharpen the skill of students and their personality development, various curricular and extra-curricular activities are the regular features of the institution
- The college Unit NSS Wing performs different type of social services within and outside of the area
- The college also organizes workshops, seminars, and conferences for improving teaching skills and methodology
- The college consists Women Cell to help female students. This cell helps and guides girls to sort out from their personal problem and avoid them from any harassment
