Dream Institute of Technology (DIT), Kolkata is proposed by the “Sarkar Trust”. The Trust is a charitable trust which has been regd. on 2004.

The college is affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
