Dr. Zakir Hussain College Sivagangai was established in the year 1970.

Its Affiliated to Alagappa University.

This college is re accredited by N.A.A.C. with A Grade. This College has been established and is administered under Article 30 (1) of the Indian Constitution, by the Muslim Minority Community.

The college got Permanent Minority Status Certificate on 22nd April 2010 from National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions, Government of India, New Delhi. The college have all the modern infrastructure and facilities.

The qualified and dedicated faculty of this college is imparting valuable education to students.At present the college offers courses in arts , science and commerce stream.

At under graduate level the college offers B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com course while at post graduate level the college runs M.A., M.Sc. and M.Com courses.
