Dr. M.V. Shetty College of Physiotherapy, Mangalore was established in 1990.

It was the first college to offer the Bachelor of Physiotherapy course in Karnataka affiliated to Mangalore University.

Presently the college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Bangalore & is recognized by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists & IAGP.

The courses in Physiotherapy offered by this College are well sought after by aspiring students from various parts of India and South Asia. Physiotherapy is an integral part of modern medicine and has a major role in prevention and medical rehabilitation of physically handicapped.

Dr. M.V.Shetty college of Physiotherapy offers Two Courses Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka.

The college currently has 25 full time and 8 part time teaching staff and student strength of 295 under-graduate students and 33 post-graduates.
