The Medical College was originally affiliated to the University of Mumbai and the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik (MUHS.

Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College at Nerul Navi Mumbai was established in 1989. Honorable D.Y. Patil Saheb has the dream of a very efficient healthcare delivery system, which could cater to the masses available to the grassroot level and the really needy and poor should benefit from such system.

We are working towards fulfilling his vision of creating a state –of- the- art tertiary healthcare infrastructure, a world class University that creates globally recognized super specialist in all the faculties.
