The college pursues its objective of providing quality education in the field of Arts, Science and Commerce to ensure development of human resources both personality-wise and career-wise. It also aims to create such an environment that can make the students a good citizen in life and professional in career.
The primary objective of the founders of this college is to provide a scope & opportunity of higher education to the people of this locality and amongst the women and who are economically weak and are not in a position to send their wards to a distant college.
The college is affiliated to University of Kalyani, established in 1960. The University was set-up in the post independence period. it has a three-star accreditation from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
