Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences (DPS), Nagpur was established in 1956.

The college is affiliated to the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur.

The college is approved by the All India Council of India (AICTE) and recognised by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).

The college is a pioneer teaching Department not only in the state of Maharashtra but also has academic recognition in the country as a whole.

The college has catered to the needs Pharmacy education in big way and has generated personnel which have emerged as key functionaries in the domain of “ Academics” as well as “ Profession” as a whole.

The college is proud to be the only University Department accredited by NBA, AICTE, New Delhi. Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences has Drug Testing Laboratory well equipped with the sophisticated analytical instruments.

The Drug Testing Laboratory of this Department is duly approved by Food and Drug Administration of Maharashtra State and is engaged in analysis of the various food and drug samples from the local industries and market at the minimal charges.
