A.V. Education Society's Degloor College, Degloor (Dist. Nanded) was popularly known as Degloor College, Degloor (Dist. Nanded) was established on 10th June 1963 and managed by Adat Vyapari Education Society (A.V.Education Society) established in 1962.

It is one of the premier government grant-in-aid colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated to Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 28th September 1973 under Act, 1956.

It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B++" Grade (CGPA Score 2.96 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) on 16th September 2016. It is also an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Institute.  

The college provides quality education in their respective subjects it also provides all facilities to the students for building their character.

It is co-educational private institute, providing a regular course which is located in the rural part of Nanded played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.
 
The college conferred the status of grant-in-aid college that the fees and all the facilities for the students are fixed by the government. The student's admission is done as per the Admission Criteria prescribed by the affiliating university.

Unfortunately, till 1962, there was no institution to provide higher education in the surrounding of Degloor. People had to go to away places like Hyderabad, Pune, Aurangabad etc. for even basic degree courses.

Naturally higher education remained a privilege of very few well to do people and many constitutes of the society like farmers, workers & backward communities like SC, ST etc were deprived of higher education.

People like Late Shri.N.R.Chidrawar, Late Shri. Poshettiji Ungratwar, Shri. Ganpatrao Mujlamkar who were tried to this backward situation & who had a concern for the total upliftment of people in the surroundings took initiative in this direction by establishing Adat Vyapari Education Society’s Degloor College, Degloor.

Situated on a beautiful campus of more than 22 Acres on the Degloor-Bidar Highway Degloor College is now a premier education institution in Nanded District. Apart from providing quality education in their respective subjects, the college provides all facilities to the students for building their character.

The Management, Principal & Staff members are committed to their aim of building youth generation having strong knowledge base, character & concern for down towards people in the society.

Hence scheme such as N.C.C., N.S.S., Distance Education & Open University Center, Soft Skill Communication & Personality development Course play an important role in character building & so it is our endeavor to provide maximum sports facilities to our students.

The college runs degree courses in Arts, Science, Commerce, Computer Science and PG courses in Marathi, Hindi, History, Public Administration, and Political Science and Chemistry.

The institution has given priority to teaching and learning process. It has created a better teaching and learning environment in the campus through improved infrastructural and human resources.
