Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College, Delhi is a constituent college of the University of Delhi was established on August 20, 1990, in the memory of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, a renowned philosopher, thinker and social worker and managed by Govt. of India.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone on the part of progress.

The college run courses under University of Delhi, New Delhi and recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on April 1, 1995, under Act, 1956.

It was accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade (CGPA Score 2.63 on a 4 Point Scale in 1st Cycle) on 5th May 2014.

It is a govt. co-educational Institute, providing regular courses in which is located in the urban part of Delhi played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college conferred the status of grant-in-aid college that the fees and all the facilities for the students are fixed by the government.

The college had received many awards and accolades at a city, state and national level for their educational advancements also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of sports and curricular activities under the University of Delhi, New Delhi.

Ministry of Human Resource Development's National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya college was ranked 9th in a list of "general degree" colleges in 2017.

The college offers undergraduate courses in Arts, Commerce, Science and Management streams etc. It also offers Add-On certificate courses.

Few of the UG courses are under Choice Based Credit and Semester System (CBCSS) and PG courses are under the Credit and Semester System (CSS) of the affiliating university. Therefore, the students should have to choose one honor (core) subject with two or more as subsidiary (elective) subjects for the specific undergraduate streams.

The college has its own selection process unlike other colleges under Delhi University. The college has an online application process where prospective applicants are expected to fill in their interests and academic achievements.

Admission has been done when seekers who have registered with the University are eligible for admissions in the college.
