DAVV Mateshwari Sugni Devi Girls College (DAVV MSDGC), Indore was established in 1982.

The college is managed by the Onkar Charity Trust.

The college is a constituent College of Devi Ahilya University and is permanently affiliated to Devi Ahilya University.

The college was sanctioned Grant in aid by the State Government in 1986 for the Faculty of Arts only, Commerce faculty was introduced in 1991-92.

The college started PG classes in 1989 in Sociology and History.

The Object of the college was to provide higher education to the daughters of the Mill workers or laborers, who in the absence of a Girl's College in the vicinity of the homes as also due to social inhibitions got deprived of Higher education on the whole.
