Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Science, Nagpur a deemed university was established in 1990 and founded by Shri. Dattaji Meghe.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 24th May 2005 under Act, 1956. This college is affiliated with the government of India amongst the Deemed Universities in the month of May 2013.

It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade (CGPA Score 3.36 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) on 23 March 2013 to 22nd March 2018.

The University has established many innovative best practices in the teaching-learning-evaluation domains and branches all over the country.

It is co-educational institute, providing a regular course which is located in the urban part of Maharastra played a pioneering role in the field of higher education. the campus is located in another city also as a different name of institutions.

The college status is the grant in aid and self-fiancing state level that the fees for the students are fixed by the government.

The college offers degree courses in doctorate and M.Phill courses for 5 years. The College has a fine team of qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty and staff members.

A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to students in its various departments. The college has well equipped, airy and spacious class rooms with all modern facilities.
