D.V.R. College of Engineering and Technology, Kandi was established in 1997.

This college is approved by with All India Council for Technical Education, Government of India, New Delhi and Government of Andhra Pradesh.
The college is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.
The college was established with the vision and mission to develop good, ethical engineers through innovative and qualitative teaching methodologies. It is managed by Devarakonda Educational Society.
DVR offers undergraduate B.Tech degree programs in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science and Civil branches of engineering with a total intake of 640 students every academic year.
