Dashrath Lal Sharma (D.L.S.) Post Graduate College, Bilaspur was established in the memory of Late Shri Dashrath Lal Sharma on 12th September 1997 at the initiative of some academic entrepreneurs with a definite objective to impart knowledge and skill to the young generation of the area.

The college is situated on the banks of river Arpa in the Bilaspur District of Chattisgarh. Basically, the college is in the rural sector of the district of Bilaspur working like an affectionate mother for the community around.

The college is affiliated to Bilaspur University, Bilaspur and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) Act, 1956 and also recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for BE.d courses. It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).     

The college is continuously trying to render education to the students of both rural and urban area and special attention is being given to the female students.

The aim of the college is to create high levels of intellectual abilities among our students and invite students from all corners of the country and be a part of our family. And also to impart quality education and train the youth to take up the future challenges of evolving India. Being established in the tribal and backward class dominated belt, the college is striving hard to cater the needs of people.
