Dwarka Dass Memorial Sai College of Education, Hamirpur was also known as D.D.M. Sai College of Education, Hamirpur was established in 2003 under the management of Sai Society of Education, Kallar under a self-financing scheme.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. It is also recognized & approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Jaipur to offer B.Ed. & D.El.Ed. courses.

It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.28 on a 4 Point Scale in 1st Cycle) on 21st February 2014.

The main aim of the college is determined to provide the quality education to the future teachers. With the correct mix of technology and human touch, the college empowers the aspiring teachers to propagate educatio9through the rungs of the society so that they serve the nation while making a satisfying career for themselves.

The college offers two years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course for those who have completed their graduation with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.

Students here are admitted who completed their graduation from recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.

The college also offers two years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) course for those who have completed their intermediate with the minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized college/university under the affiliating to Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala.

Students here are admitted who completed their intermediate from recognized college/university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the intermediate level.

But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.

Later two professional courses were added, LL.B.(3 years course) and B.A.LL.B (5 years course) affiliated to H. P. University, Shimla and approved by Bar Council of India, New Delhi w.e.f. 2008 and 2013 respectively.

The intake capacity in LL.B. (3 years) and B.A.LL.B. (5 years)is 60 each. The institute believes in developing potential power and creativity of students rather than merely communicating factual knowledge of course content to them.
