Combined (P.G.) Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (CIMS), Dehra Dun was established in 2002.

The institute is affiliated to HNB Garhwal Central University, Srinagar Garhwal. It is recognized by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

Its approved by Government of Uttarakhand and is managed by J.J Educational Institute (Registered Society) registered under Indian Society Registration Act 1860, Dehradun.

CIMS college of Nursing is also recognized by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi. The institute offers students with innovative learning approach inclusive of extensive field work and exchange programs supported by access to quality study material and equipments in first class laboratories and vast library.

The research programs gives students a cutting edge in their study and provide an unparallel experience of dealing with the patients in hospital to complete their project work.

The campus of CIMS, kuanwala, Haridwar Road, Dehrdun is surrounded by lush green forest & beautiful meadows in the close vicinity of Shivalik ranges in Garhwal. Apart from enriching medical knowledge and skills in various disciplines, the institute chiefly aims at building a positive attitude arming a set of values and developing kindness for human life among the students.
