Colleges in Goa

Goa is situated in India's Western Region. By area, it is among the smallest states. As per the 2011 Census, 87% of Goans are literate, with 90% of men and 84% of women having completed their education. The only university in Goa is Goa University.

Goa is home to one medical college and five engineering institutes. The Goa Engineering College, the National Institute of Technology Goa, the Padre Conceicao College of Engineering in Verna, The Don Bosco College of Engineering in Fatorda, and the Shree Rayeshwar Institute of Engineering and Information Technology in Shiroda are all located in the state of Goa. Medical education is offered by Goa Medical College. The BITS Pilani Goa Campus, located close to Dabolim, opened as the university's second campus in 2004. The state is home to several universities that provide programs in Science, Commerce, Architecture, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Law.
