College of Commerce, Arts & Science, Patna was established on 5th September 1949. It is one of the premier institutions imparting undergraduate and post-graduate education to students in many streams of Arts, Science and Commerce with adequate infrastructure.

The college is affiliated to Magadh University, Bodh Gaya and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) Act, 1956. It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade.

The college was established by a great visionary and son of the soil, Pt. Indu Shekhar Jha on the advice of Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the First President of India, to impart quality education in Commerce and Management in the state, the institution was later enriched with the faculty of Science in 1957 followed by Arts in 1960 and Law in 1963.

In the operation of the letter of Education Department, Government of Bihar vide letter no. 15/M1-125/2015-74 dated 16/01/2016 and Magadh University, Bodh Gaya Memo No. VC/Res/06/16 dated 17/01/2016, the name of "College of Commerce, Patna" is changed as "College of Commerce, Arts & Science, Patna".

The college offers two years Higher Secondary Courses in Arts, Science & Commerce stream and offers three years Degree Courses in Arts, Science & Commerce stream under Magadh University, Bodh Gaya. It also offers some PG Courses, Career Oriented Courses, and Add-On Courses.

  • Special remedial classes are organized for the academically poor students, the economically vulnerable but meritorious students are provided free admission and other in-house scholarships
