Established in 1942, College of Art, University of Delhi, Delhi is a constituent college of Delhi University, leading to the Bachelor of Fine Art Course and Postgraduate course of Master in Fine Art.

The college is a premier art college for advanced training in Visual Art i.e. Creative and Applied Art, under the Faculty of Music & Fine Art, University of Delhi, and run by Government of NCT Delhi.

The college run courses under the University of Delhi, New Delhi and the college comes under the art department of the Delhi College of Engineering now the Delhi Technological University (DTU).

It is a co-educational Govt. Institute, aims to prepare the students for creative and applied responsibilities in the world of art and design and providing regular courses in which is located in the urban part of Delhi played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college conferred the status of grant-in-aid college that the fees and all the facilities for the students are fixed by the government.

The college has received many awards and accolades at a city, state and national level for their educational advancements also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of sports and curricular activities under the University of Delhi, New Delhi.

At present, the college offers 4 years undergraduate course in Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) with various specializations.

This college offers courses for advanced training in Visual Art, creative and applied, leading to the Bachelor of Fine Art Course and Postgraduate course of Master in Fine Art.

The college has its own selection process unlike other colleges under Delhi University. The college has an online application process where prospective applicants are expected to fill in their interests and academic achievements.

Admission here has been done when seekers who have registered with the University are eligible for admissions in the college.

Such candidates should examine whether their percentage marks (Best of Four/PCB/PCM, whichever is applicable) falls within the cut- off percentage declared by the college for admission in different courses.

University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by the University of Delhi, New Delhi, and various other examinations are held in the college premises. Applications are open for Choice Based Credit System for the first cum first courses.
