Established in 1994, Central Institute of Hotel Management & Catering (CIHMC), Bhubaneswar is a premier hospitality and hotel management institute imparting higher education in the field of Hotel Management & Catering Technology.

Affiliated to the Utkal University of Culture, Bhubaneswar and the college was approved by Govt. of Odisha, Department of Tourism & Culture.

The institute was recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC), Govt. of India and associated with Hotel & Restaurant Association of Eastern India.

Admissions here is conducted by the admission committee in minimum marks required for conducting in admission in various courses. Free admission will be available for SC/ST Candidates. There is also 50% concession for girls meritorious candidate.

The selection process is strictly based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and the personal interview.

The institute has a wide range of contact with so many five-star category hotels, restaurants, tourism agency, and railway-airways catering, cruise lines etc.

The institute has been providing training during the course period practically and theoretically to enhance the skills of the students expected by the business organisation in the existing global market.

At present, the institute offers diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate courses in hotel management streams with various specialisations. It also offers add-on certificate courses as well.
