Christian College (CC), Kattakada was established in 1965.
Its affiliated to the University of Kerala.
managed by the Society for Higher Education of the SIUC community of the Church of South India registered under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act XII of 1955 (S.No. 143 of 1977).
The objective of the Institution is to uplift socially and economically the rural masses of this socially backward area by providing them an opportunity to get benefited by providing them with Higher Education in Humanities, Science, and Technology.
It is was re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.55 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) on 2012.
The curriculum provides the required knowledge and expertise needed for the students of this backward, rural area for self-development and to come up successful in life. The major concerns of the college are imparting quality education and training to the students, while guiding them to be conscientious, responsible citizens.
Care is taken to ensure that the objective of uplifting the rural masses of this socially backward area by providing them opportunities for social and economic betterment is achieved as much as possible.
The college is located in a sprawling area of rustic land in the Poovachal Panchayat area under Nedumangad taluk, 20km east of Thiruvananthapuram city, Kerala State, South India.
