Chhaju Ram Memorial (CRM) Jat College, Hisar was established on 1st July 1967 under the management of Jat Educational Society.

It is one of the premier institutions to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 2nd July 1967 under Act, 1956.

It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B+" Grade in 2003.

It is now deemed as a premier institution of Haryana which was initially a prestigious college affiliated to Punjab University, Chandigarh in July 1967. Later consequent upon an order from the Govt. of Haryana all the colleges of the state were affiliated with Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra from the academic session, 1974-75.

The primary objective of the institution has been to bring about an awakening among the rural youth by imparting higher education. With this purpose in mind, the college started functioning with a bare tally of 140 students in four classes, namely Prep Science, Prep Arts, B.A.I and B.Sc.

Its central location in the town and a well-fortified campus is not only facilitating to urban boys and girls but also to commuter hailing from suburban or rural areas.

Since the college is situated in the vicinity of the Railway station and is also adjoining the main Delhi Highway, it accords easy access to avail of the facility of higher education.

The college offers three years undergraduate & two years postgraduate degree courses in Arts, Science & Commerce stream under Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. It also offers Career Oriented & Add-on courses.

The college has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on 9th August 2004 to assure the quality of the college and also details regarding submission of Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQAR) to NAAC annually
The college runs a canteen inside the campus where staff and students can have meals and snacks prepared in a hygienic manner and at an affordable cost
Internet & Wi-Fi facilities may be availed by the students and teachers as per their needs
The college has a large playground with will-equipment for different sports like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey, Badminton and so on
A medical facility has been available in the college for the benefit of the students
State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
The institute provides the training facility like- face to face interview, resume making, communication skills, that help the students to face the campus recruitment
For every course, the college imparts practical training to its students that helps them to understand better, improve their demonstrative skills, eliminate hesitation and in this process strives to mold them into industry ready professionals
The college also provides NCC training to its students. The NCC cadets attend different camps and earn pride for themselves and for the college
The college Unit NSS Wing performs different type of social services within and outside of the area
The college consists Women Cell to help female students. This cell helps and guides girls to sort out from their personal problem and avoid them from any harassment
