Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP), Patna was established in 2008.

Its Affiliated to B. R. Ambedkar Bihar university.

It has been established as an autonomous institution with active support from the Government of Bihar.

The institute was established with an objective of contributing substantially to the academic and development credentials of Bihar, while fulfilling the primary role of training students to become effective managers. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

The institute follows, to the extent possible, all practices, systems and processes of leading management institutes in India.

The first batch of the institute graduated in 2010 with 100% placement record.

The vision of the institute is to focus on enriching the management education profile of Bihar through training, research and consulting activities and to establish centers of research especially focusing on the development issues of Bihar.

Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna is located in the heart of the city, the campus is entirely Wi-Fi enabled.

CIMP envisages moving to its new campus very soon.

The Government of Bihar has allotted 10 acres of land to CIMP for building a state-of-the-art academic residential campus in Mithapur, which are 4 kms away from Patna airport and 1.5 kms away from Patna railway station.
