Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna was established in 2006 by Vice-Chancellor/Pro-Chancellor, Prof.Dr.A.Lakshminath, under the Chanakya National Law University Act, 2006 (Bihar Act No. 24 of 2006) and included in section 2(f) & 12(B) of the U.G.C. Act, 1956.

The faculty at CNLU comprises highly acclaimed and experienced academicians who are proactively involved in grooming the younger generation to take CNLU to greater heights.

It seeks to provide a forum to the legal fraternity to address myriad issues, inter-linking disciplines such as Sociology, Political Science, Public Policy and Economics with Law, thereby reflecting the dynamics of such correlations and inter-dependence
